Lee Technologies was selected by Trinity Information Systems to provide facility assessment services to address future growth for their data centers located in Michigan and Indiana. The two data centers (over 13,500 square feet) support eleven main hospital campuses spread throughout several states.
Lee Technologies surveyed the two facilities and recommended best practices that could allow improvements, including the consideration of operation in a “fail-over” mode to improve business continuity in the event of a catastrophic failure or disaster, as well as other concepts and ideas that could maximize resiliency, uptime and disaster recovery.
As part of the assessment, Lee Technologies identified the additional physical floor space and electrical and mechanical infrastructure that will be required to accommodate Trinity Information Systems’ anticipated growth and resiliency objectives. In addition, Lee Technologies analyzed the existing electrical and mechanical infrastructure to identify any outstanding risks that may be inherent within the existing data center facilities.
Since it was Trinity Information Systems’ goal to eventually have both data centers designed to Tier III resiliency, Lee Technologies identified what modifications and additions would be needed for the existing facilities to achieve Tier III classification.
