CRGT, Inc., formerly known as Cherry Road GT, Inc., was awarded a subcontract by Northrop Grumman Corporation to provide managed IT services in support of the U.S. Army’s Defense Knowledge Online (DKO) program. Lee Technologies was subcontracted by CRGT, Inc. to increase the power and cooling capacity of the 4,600 square foot data center located at Ft. Belvoir to a Tier III level of redundancy. Lee Technologies’ needed to provide and install the mechanical and electrical equipment necessary to obtain the required capacity.

Lee Technologies performed the awarded scope of work while ensuring the data center’s existing ceiling and raised floor remained intact under complete confidence. The new mechanical system consists of air-cooled chillers, chilled water pumps and in-row air handlers within the data center. The critical electrical system upgrade consisted of two (2) new 225 Kilo Volt Amp (kVA), uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and battery systems, a new 600 kilowatt generator, 1000A ATS, 1500 kVA utility transformer, 1000A distribution switchboard and power distribution for the new chilled water cooling system.
